Caroline Wozniacki & Serena Williams

BFFs, Caroline Wozniacki & Serena Williams, Take Time Out @ NBA

TCS New York Marathon: Former World Number 1 WTA Player currently resurging up the rankings has just ticked another item off her bucket list and did so in impressive fashion.

She is Caroline Wozniacki. The Dane reached her first grand slam final in five years and is back amongst the WTA Tour's Elite Eight. Despite suffering injuries and a high-profile split with top golfer Rory McIlroy, this high-energy player took on New York's 40 MPH bracing winds alongside fifty thousand other runners, competing in her first marathon where she raised over $80K on behalf of Team For Kids.

"Just going for a run was nice to clear my mind and think about something else," she had said. "Then you feel great about yourself as well. You get fit."

People think I'm crazy for doing this, she explained, pointing to recurring nightmares suggesting she'd finish the race in a wheelchair, and vowed not to let those nightmares stop her.

They did not! Instead of a wheelchair, she was met at the finish line by her teary-eyed BFF Serena Williams. Thereafter, they did as she said she would: load up on carbs.

"I did everything they said you shouldn't do." .... Watch her here.
